Q: Does my business need video media?
A: According to recent research reports, video is 50 times more likely to appear on page 1 of Google search results than your website. Why you may ask? There are 3 main reasons: 1.) Not many people use optimised video content, 2.) People are naturally drawn more towards video and 3.) Google owns YouTube so it’s no coincidence that video results appear higher in a search. Today more than ever your business needs information online, it helps you get found, and gives you a platform to communicate. Video media online is a commercial with free re-runs, an opportunity to provide information, and to connect with your client’s interests quickly.
Q: How much does it cost to produce a video for my website?
A: We offer free quotes and a preliminary consultation. Costs can vary dramatically from project to project and we do not have fixed fees. There are certain factors that can change production costs dramatically such as locations required for filming, creative development such as script writing and storyboards and post-production work such as editing, graphics or animations. Dubplate Films average client spends $2,400 CDN for one 5 min HD 1080p video with motion graphics intro, sound mix and final video file delivery.
Q: What kind of cameras do you use?
A: Sony NEX-FS700 Full-HD Super 35mm Slow Motion camcorder, the latest in Sony's line-up of NXCAM interchangeable E-mount camcorders. The FS700 is designed for high-speed shooting, capable of capturing footage at up to 960 frames per second. We also use a Canon 5D MK-II DSLR as second video camera, and for full fame still photography. We only use full frame Canon L-Series Prime lenses in shooting and also have a Kino Flo Diva-Lite package.
Q: How long does it all take?
A: Delivery and timeline is dependent on the scope of the project, and is usually determined when quoting a project and after meeting for the initial consultation. All of these factors are discussed with our clients along with their deadline requirements. We average five business days to complete post-production after all filming has been completed.
